A French/Full City roast is darker than most modern espresso blends. This Mediterranean Blend is produced from Fairtrade accredited coffee. It is a Dark Roast Colombian Coffee . We have roasted this as Full City (also called a French) roast, dropped from the roaster just as the roast reaches second crack. This releases the natural oils in the bean without allowing the roasting process to overpower the flavour. A French/Full City roast is darker than most modern espresso blends. These roasts are characterised by their dark colour, oily beans and lack of acidity. This gives the coffee a rich, solid flavour with a smooth aftertaste and only a hint of bitterness.
