BeanMate uses cookies to analyse user activity in order to improve our website. We collect your email address and postcode when you use our service to register for an account and/or purchase a product or service. This is in order to facilitate the service itself. We use your email address to contact you regarding your order, or to ask for you to provide further information.
We also collect information you choose to provide about demographics with regard to our products and services. We require this information to help us best serve your tastes & needs in terms of recommended products. We may also need to share this with third party producers & providers.
We will also collect your name and email address should you use our ‘Contact Us’ form. These will be used for correspondence with you.
If we have collected your email address via the above methods, we may contact you in the future in order to obtain feedback with regards to the service we provided, or to try and better understand our customer base.
Who we share your data with:
Your data is only shared with third parties if you place an order that we fulfil using a third party supplier. We wi ll need to pass on your personal details to those suppliers whom we deem capable of providing you with your o rder. You will be informed of all suppliers who receive these details. We will not for any other reason share your personal information (email and postcode) with these suppliers.
How long we retain your data:
If you use our service, your email address, postcode and the information you provide about your event is retained for as long as it is necessary to fulfil your order and/or maintain your account with us, and no longer, as in accordance with the General Dat a Protection Regulation as ratified by the EU.
What rights you have over your data:
If you have used our service, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You also have the ‘right to be forgotten’ which includes erasure of all personal information in accordance with GDPR. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for legal, or security purposes.

Storing & Sending Data:
We will endeavour to store and transmit your personal information as securely as possible using site-wite SSL encryption. Your information will be transmitted in plain text (without encryption) from our domain to the Supplier when an order is made. While we have taken every precaution to ensure the information is safe by assessing the data protection policies of the Suppliers, this is not a perfectly secure environment, so if you choose to make an order with us you acknowledge that you are electronically transmitting personal information at your own risk.
